What is your vision of the art of watchmaking?<\/h3>\n

Watchmaking is a technical and cultural domain. Taste, on the other hand, is an area of judgment, knowledge and individuality. When they meet, they take the form of refined timepieces that must seduce both the eye and the mind. As beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside, L.U.C timepieces are entirely designed, developed and assembled by our Artisans in our Manufacture to reflect this identity. Chopard thus responds to the aspirations of the contemporary gentleman in a skilful blend of craftsmanship and emotion: when a customer looks at his L.U.C watch, it’s not so much the time he’s looking at, but the craftsmanship of this exceptional object with that special extra soul. <\/p>\n

What is your relationship with Lionel Meylan?<\/h3>\n

Like the House of Lionel Meylan, Chopard is a family business handed down from generation to generation. This heritage is reflected in our partnership: it was my father Karl Scheufele who initiated the partnership with Lionel Meylan more than 20 years ago, and today his sons, Yannick and Julien Meylan, and I perpetuate the love of fine watchmaking that they have passed on to us, in order to offer our customers ever more innovative creations that do honor to Swiss watchmaking craftsmanship. <\/p>\n

Why did you choose Lionel Meylan to represent your brand?<\/h3>\n

The Meylan family and my own share a strong set of common values. On the one hand, we share and pass on traditional know-how, which we combine with a constant quest for innovation. On the other hand, we have the utmost respect for our most demanding customers, so that each and every one of them can experience, through precious timepieces, all the emotions inherent in our virtuoso mastery of time.

What is your vision of the art of watchmaking?<\/h3>\n

At Herm\u00e8s, we create objects first and foremost. Objects shaped by the hands of craftsmen to make them the accomplices of those who wear them. They are the product of demanding know-how, but must remain practical and functional, with the lightness of the unexpected. Watchmaking turns everyday life into a playground. For Herm\u00e8s, time is also an object. From the tension that inhabits it, the House has created a singularity. Rather than measuring, sequencing and controlling time, Herm\u00e8s dares to create a different kind of time, one designed to arouse emotions, open parentheses and create spaces for fantasy and recreation. This is the spirit we instill in our creations and the unique functionalities of our watches (Cape Cod, Heure H, Arceau, for example). What’s more, our timepieces are entirely Swiss-made, right down to the leather strap, which is crafted in our Bruegg workshops. <\/p>\n

It’s an undeniable bond of trust, based on dialogue and mutual understanding over many years. As Herm\u00e8s is also a family business, we are always delighted to be able to talk to several generations about developments in our profession and our products. <\/p>\n

Why did you choose Lionel Meylan to represent your brand?<\/h3>\n

There are many reasons why we are delighted to work with them. The succession of generations who have not lost their soul of connoisseurship. The quality of the brands we work with. A diverse customer base, both male and female. The location of their outlets, in strategic locations that appeal to both local and international customers. But also their ability to look to the future, to renew their concepts and to convey this love of the art of watchmaking, notably with the presence of a watchmaker in the boutique.

When we created our Fr\u00e9d\u00e9rique Constant brand with my wife Aletta in 1988, our aim was to create the most beautiful Swiss watches possible at a price that would be accessible to as many customers as possible. For us, this is the Art of Watchmaking: creating and manufacturing magnificent timepieces in the finest Swiss watchmaking tradition, handcrafted to the highest standards of quality and attention to detail, while offering them at the most affordable price possible. <\/p>\n

What is your relationship with Lionel Meylan?<\/h3>\n

I’ve always supported family-run businesses. What’s more, Lionel Meylan Jewellery is in line with our three core values: design, quality and innovation. We began our collaboration with the successful Glacier 3000 challenge. And we recently moved to Vevey. Hand in hand, in partnership, we achieve our common goals. <\/p>\n
