Each year, nearly 1,400 watches are entrusted to the expertise of our watchmakers. Vintage timepieces are serviced in our workshop, while other pieces are sent to partner manufacturers, in accordance with their requirements and quality standards.
Our expertise also extends to wall clocks and grandfather clocks, which we restore and repair in our workshop before returning them to working order in your home.

Customization and Engraving
Because some moments are worth cherishing for a lifetime, Maison Lionel Meylan helps you personalize your timepiece.

Thanks to our in-house laser engraving workshop, we can customize your items right here at our studio. Our teams, who are specially trained in this technology, work with precision on a variety of materials, including steel and gold.
For more specific customization options, we also offer engraving on sapphire glass, carried out in collaboration with a specialized partner.

For Lionel’s youngest son, the love of watchmaking came naturally. Nothing could be more natural when you spend your childhood surrounded by complex cogs and magnificent mechanisms… His studies at the Ecole d’horlogerie de la Vallée de Joux confirmed to Julien that the profession ran in his veins.
Today, he runs the company jointly with his brother, Yannick. His greatest pleasure? Spending time with customers to advise them, making himself available to sketch a ring or pendant to create a bespoke piece of jewelry, repair a watchband or carry out a quick service for a customer in a hurry. In short, Julien goes out of his way to be of service. But his legendary calm and energy at work are matched only by his coolness when it comes to the sports he enjoys: hiking in the mountains in summer, skiing in winter and skydiving all year round!

Watchmaking has been part of Yannick’s world since childhood. The eldest son of Lionel Meylan, he spent much of his early years watching his father restore antique clocks, fascinated by mechanics, craftsmanship and precision. This passion naturally led him to train in precision mechanics at the École des Métiers, before completing his education with studies in business and management.
Today, Yannick runs Lionel Meylan alongside his brother Julien, carrying forward a family tradition that has been passed down through six generations. He divides his time between the Lausanne and Vevey boutiques, where what he enjoys most is being close to clients, exchanging ideas with them and personally accompanying them in their choices and projects.
While watchmaking remains deeply rooted in his story, Yannick has also developed a genuine passion for coloured gemstones and jewellery creation. Sapphires, spinels, rubies, emeralds and more unusual gems: he loves discovering stones with a distinctive colour, brilliance or character, and then working with the Maison’s gemmologists and jewellers to imagine a piece that will truly reveal their beauty.
This is also what he values most about his profession: starting with a meeting, a story, or sometimes simply a remarkable stone, and bringing a unique creation to life. Transforming a family heirloom, sourcing a particular gemstone, imagining an engagement ring or creating an entirely bespoke piece are all projects in which he particularly enjoys being personally involved.
An adventurer at heart, Yannick also has a longstanding passion for aviation and flying over the Alps. Yet behind the entrepreneur and lover of fine mechanics is above all a man deeply attached to his family and to genuine human relationships. Father of two boys, he is preparing to welcome a third child in January 2027, opening a new chapter in a family story that means a great deal to him.
Whether in Lausanne or Vevey, Yannick always enjoys taking the time to meet his clients. Come and see him with an idea, a gemstone, a treasured old piece of jewellery, or even just the beginnings of an inspiration: the most beautiful creations often begin with a conversation.
