Chronomat B31 Automatic 40

PB3114101C1A1

Breitling's all-round sports watch is ready for anything. The Chronomat occupies a central place in the brand's modern history. Presented for Breitling's centenary in 1984, at a time dominated by quartz movements, it marked a bold return to watches with mechanical movements. It was born of a collaboration with Italy's much-loved Frecce Tricolori aerobatic patrol. When the team asked for an analog timepiece capable of withstanding the intense pressures of an aircraft cockpit, but also elegant enough to be worn at formal events, Breitling developed the Frecce Tricolori chronograph. In a way, it was the prototype for the Chronomat that followed a year later. The Chronomat B31 40 is powered by the COSC-certified Breitling B31 manufacture caliber, unveiled in 2025. With a 78-hour power reserve to survive the weekend and slim dimensions, this is a date timepiece for all occasions. Available in a range of colored dials, the Chronomat features a fully integrated Rouleaux bracelet, with adjustable links on either side of the clasp. The case is water-resistant to 200 m to suit all environments.
