The Chronomat occupies an important place in Breitling's history. When it was launched in 1984, at a time when extra-flat quartz timepieces were the order of the day, Breitling took a risky gamble with an impressively large mechanical watch.
Based on the Frecce Tricolori chronograph, developed and launched in 1983 in collaboration with the famous Italian acrobatic patrol, the Chronomat celebrated Breitling's centenary in style, bringing the mechanical chronograph back to its rightful place. Indeed, the brand has built its worldwide reputation on these absolutely sublime watches.
The Chronomat is equipped with a 42 mm case and the emblematic 4 rider bezel. Presented here in 18-carat red gold with an anthracite dial, the Chronomat comes with a black rubber strap. It is powered by Breitling Manufacture Calibre 01, a COSC-certified chronometer.
