Chronomat B01 Chronograph 42

Breitling’s quintessential versatile sports watch is ready for anything. The Chronomat occupies a central place in the brand’s modern history. Unveiled for Breitling’s centennial in 1984, at a time when quartz movements dominated the market, it marked a bold return to mechanical watches. It was born out of a collaboration with the much-loved Italian aerobatic team, the Frecce Tricolori. When the team requested an analog timepiece capable of withstanding the intense pressures of an aircraft cockpit, yet elegant enough to be worn at formal events, Breitling developed the Frecce Tricolori chronograph. In a sense, it served as the prototype for the Chronomat that would follow a year later. Available in stainless steel, 18-karat red gold, or steel with a platinum bezel, the Chronomat B01 42 features an instantly recognizable bezel with four raised markers at the 15-minute intervals. Available in a range of colorful dials, the Chronomat features an iconic, fully integrated Rouleaux bracelet with micro-adjustments on either side of the clasp. True to the original, the Chronomat is powered by the Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01. This is a tried-and-tested COSC-certified chronograph movement with a date window at 6 o’clock and a 70-hour power reserve. The case is water-resistant to 200 m, making it suitable for any environment.
