PRX 40mm

In 1978, Tissot created a quartz model with a slim case, fine hour markers and a steel bracelet. Its wide, horizontal lugs, typical of the period, fit perfectly into the flat, tonneau-shaped case.

A few years later, Tissot registered the name PRX. "PR" stands for "precise" and "robust". The "X" represents the Roman numeral ten and the pressure of 10 bars, corresponding to a depth of 100 meters, at which the watch remains water-resistant.

In 2021, Tissot presented the new PRX as a modern interpretation of the previous model.

The Tissot PRX's 316L stainless steel case has a diameter of 40 mm. It has a slightly tonneau shape and is adorned with a narrow, round bezel. Vertically brushed and rounded finishes alternate with polished facets on the sides.

The Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 features a honeycomb dial. The lines of the case extend directly into the bracelet, without the use of traditional lugs. Its suppleness and flexibility make it a true success in terms of ergonomics and provide exceptional comfort. The satin-finish exterior is just as meticulous as the polishing of the inner surfaces.

The hands of the Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 have a SuperLumiNova® coating and are superimposed with only a very small gap. This brings the dial closer to the watch crystal. The optical effect achieved by Tissot's designers makes the watch case even flatter and thinner than it actually is.

The watch has a scratch-resistant, anti-reflective sapphire crystal and a mineral glass caseback. Its Swiss Made automatic movement with a power reserve of up to 80 hours is equipped with a Nivachron balance spring, renowned for its excellent resistance to magnetic fields.
