Lake Geneva Region Highlights go Olympic

Following a complete renovation (end 2013), the Museum now offers over 3,000m2 of exhibition space and the latest technological innovations. The new scenography reflects the richness and diversity of Olympism. This Museum is not about a collection. It’s about an idea: Olympism.Sport, history, culture, design, sociology and technology are just some of the themes covered.

Bernhard Tschannen, CEO of Glacier 3000 and President of Highlights Lake Geneva Region, is delighted with this additional highlight in the organization. “We’re very pleased with the inclusion of the Olympic Museum in our partnership, as it fits perfectly into the mix, not only as an exciting venue, but also as a valuable strategic partner in the high-potential markets of South Korea and China. The next Winter Olympics will be held in South Korea, followed by China.”

In connection with the 2018 Winter Olympics in Korea, HLGR has hired a new representative in Seoul. “Mr Bang is the former Managing Director of Kuoni and complements our local representations in China, India and Southeast Asia,” says Bernhard Tschannen.

The members of the HLGR, which so far includes Glacier 3000, Chillon Castle, the Golden-Pass train and jeweller Lionel Meylan, have all benefited greatly from this partnership to date, and have significantly increased market sales. In summer 2014, jeweller Lionel Meylan also opened the highest watch boutique in the canton of Vaud at Glacier 3000. With the new partner and the additional market in Korea, the future success of the Highlights Lake Geneva Region seems guaranteed.
