Peak Walk: from summit to summit
Les Diablerets, June 17, 2014. The world’s first suspension bridge linking two peaks is under construction on Glacier 3000.
With the construction of the spectacular suspension bridge, Glacier 3000, as a spectacular destination, once again expands its highly diversified offering. The Peak Walk will be the first – and so far the only – suspension bridge in the world to link two peaks. The bridge will also offer our guests a breathtaking view of the Alps. Last Tuesday, the first sod was turned at a ceremony marking the official start of the work, which has a budget of Fr. 1.8 million Swiss francs. The 107-metre-long suspension bridge, located at an altitude of almost 3,000 metres, is due to be inaugurated in November. From then on, it will be open all year round and accessible free of charge to visitors to Glacier 3000.
Summer and winter alike, Glacier 3000 is a paradise for excursions. The cable car ride from Col du Pillon to Scex Rouge is already a special experience. At an altitude of 3,000 metres, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Swiss mountains and a total of 24 4,000-metre peaks. Exciting activities in a fascinating glacial world and culinary specialities await our guests. The Peak Walk, which leads from the View Point to the summit of Scex Rouge, is the latest attraction for visitors.
