SKIING IN VEVEY!

Where’s your best chance of meeting Santa Claus this year? Certainly on the Place du Marché, in Vevey, throughout the month of December! A magical chalet opened by the Garden Centre Brönnimann for Christmas shopping, a small forest of fir trees to stroll through and sip a glass of mulled wine, a ski slope to stretch your legs… It’s easy to get caught up in the magic of the festive season!

IF THE PHOTO IS GOOD

Rainy Saturday or gloomy Sunday? A good excuse to get out of the rain and into the film laboratory of the Swiss Camera Museum in Vevey. Every Saturday and Sunday, as well as during school vacations, you can develop your own photograph into a photogram. It’s an ideal way for the whole family to show youngsters that there was life before the selfie. We love it!

SHOPKEEPERS STAY UP LATE

There are two categories of people. The more organized who will have finished their Christmas shopping before the city streets are even lit up. And there are the latecomers who wait until the last minute to rush into the stores. Whether you want to take advantage of Vevey’s festive atmosphere on the eve of the festive season, or complete your Christmas gift list in good time, the streets of the town center are the place to be on December 20 and 23, when shopkeepers will keep their doors open until 10pm. Let’s make the most of it!

VILLA “LE LAC” REOPENS ITS DOORS

SLIPPERY TERRAIN

Let’s get ready for a few months of furious sliding, lutz, piqué loops and amazing flips on the Vevey skating rink. On 600m2 of ice, young and old can enjoy this exceptional indoor space until March 5, 2017. No time to lose, work on your triple axel!

NOT SO CLASSIC

Les Classiques de Villars needs no introduction, and the next edition will take place from February 20 to 26, 2017. This new edition promises to be a delight for the discerning music lovers who have flocked to the festival every year for the past 21 years, as much for its eclectic program as for its warm atmosphere. Pure classical music with the La Camerata Russe orchestra conducted by Andrei Kroujkov, hits with the Chico & The Gypsies concert, jazz with the Thierry Lang Trio, voices with choirs and a meeting between the classical orchestra and the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra are already on the program. We’re looking forward to it!
