Xavier L’Hoste, “La tête dans les nuages” exhibition from November 22, 2013 to February 28, 2014
Xavier L’Hoste, a multi-talented designer based in Sainte-Croix, is equally at home in sculpture, drawing and painting. He’s interested in everything artistic. An archaeological digger and draughtsman, Xavier stockpiled his first ammunition twenty years ago at the Arts Décoratifs in Paris. Do you remember the two metal sculptures proudly erected in front of Lausanne station: a young lady in a miniskirt and a traveler in a hat with two suitcases.
His many exhibitions, from Champéry to Toulouse, have had no effect on the artist’s desire for discretion. Another passion: experimental archaeology. In collaboration with the University of Lausanne, Xavier has produced marvellous reconstructions of swords and other Celtic artefacts. Today, he continues to surprise us with his off-the-beaten-track talent, colorful imagination and creativity. With your head in the clouds… come and join us in discovering his latest works!
