The Chronomat occupies an important place in Breitling's history. When it was launched in 1984, at a time when extra-flat quartz timepieces were the order of the day, Breitling took a risky gamble with a mechanical watch of impressive size.
Based on the Frecce Tricolori chronograph, developed and launched in 1983 in collaboration with the famous Italian air patrol, the Chronomat celebrated Breitling's centenary in style and restored the mechanical chronograph to its rightful place. Indeed, the brand has built its worldwide renown on these absolutely sublime watches.
Available in a wide range of materials from stainless steel to 18-carat red gold, the Chronomat is equipped with a 42 mm case and an emblematic four-rider bezel. Available in a wide range of colored dials, the Chronomat is offered with a Rouleaux bracelet in metal or rubber. It is powered by Breitling Manufacture Calibre 01, a COSC-certified chronometer.
